Now offering Nosework!

From 10 weeks old to 16+ years old, from happy go lucky to shy and building confidence. Nosework is a low impact sport where any kind of dog and any owner can learn to communicate and work together to find designated odor in search areas.

Nosework is a welcoming sport for all types of dogs. Only one dog is ever out at a time, meaning it is a friendly sport for dog selective dogs. Because of this, a crate is needed for all classes for dogs attending. In this class, dogs will learn to source odors and owners will learn to recognize behavior changes in their dogs while searching. Other things needed for class are a long lead (10-15 feet reccomend) and 50 or more small HIGH value treats.

To register for this class, please come IN PERSON to the store. The cost for this class is $150. We have limited availability starting June 2nd and will have 2 classes of 8 dogs each.

Puppy Kindergarten

Starting as early as 10 weeks, learning basic puppy skills. Puppies will learn to walk on a leash and, we lay the groundwork for beginner.

Confidence building, meeting new people and other dogs is a large part of this class. We believe socialization is the keystone to puppy development. Pups must be 10 weeks old and have their second round of shots.

Beginner Obedience

Our beginner obedience training program focuses on teaching your pup essential companion skills that will benefit them in their daily life.

Heeling: Your dog will learn to walk nicely by your side, without pulling on the leash.
Coming when called: Your dog will master the art of responding promptly to basic commands like “come” or “here.”
Standing for simple physical examination
Staying in both a sit and down position with a group of dogs

Intermediate Obedience

In this class the beginner exercises are polished and new exercises, including stand for exam, figure 8, long sit and long down with handler across the room and a recall with the handler across the room will be introduced. Teams will also begin off-lead work. Emphasis in all exercises will be placed on developing positive teamwork between the dog and the handler. Proofing of all exercises is done to teach the dog to respond correctly regardless of what is going on around him/her. Please note that trainer approval is required for Intermediate Obedience Classes.

Our Obedience Classes

Puppy Kindergarten is a comprehensive and engaging class designed specifically for puppies as young as 10 weeks old! This foundational course is all about setting the stage for your pup’s future success, teaching essential skills that will benefit them throughout their life.

In our Puppy Kindergarten class, your furry friend will learn the basics of walking on a leash, interacting with new people and other dogs, and developing good manners. We’ll also focus on building confidence and socialization skills, which are critical for puppies to thrive in all aspects of life.

As puppies are naturally curious and love to explore, our classes are designed to provide a safe and stimulating environment that encourages learning and play. Our experienced trainers will be with you every step of the way, providing expert guidance, support, and encouragement as you embark on this exciting journey with your new puppy!

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all puppies, we require that pups be at least 10 weeks old and have received their second round of vaccinations before joining our class. Our classes are limited in size to ensure each pup receives the individual attention they need to thrive.

Take the first step towards a well-behaved companion with our Beginner Obedience class! This foundational course is designed to teach your dog essential skills that will benefit you both in daily life.

Take your training to the next level with our Intermediate Obedience class! This course builds upon the foundational skills learned in Beginner Obedience (prerequisite) and introduces new challenges to strengthen your bond with your dog.
In this advanced class, you’ll refine your skills and learn how to:

Master more complex exercises, including:
- Stand for examination: Develop confidence in remaining calm during physical exams
- Figure 8: Navigate through cones or obstacles while maintaining control and focus
- Long sit and long down with handler across the room: Demonstrate sustained attention and obedience from a distance
- Recall with handler across the room: Practice reliable recall even when separated by distance
Begin off-lead work: Learn to trust your dog’s training and navigate without a leash
Develop positive teamwork: Emphasize clear communication, mutual respect, and cooperation between you and your dog

Throughout this course, we’ll focus on proofing exercises to help your dog generalize their learning and respond correctly in various environments. You’ll leave the class with a deeper understanding of how to work together effectively with your furry partner.

Prerequisites: Completion of Beginner Obedience or equivalent training experience to be determined by trainer.

Novice Polish Obedience: Elevate Your Teamwork and Competency

Are you ready to take your obedience skills to the next level? Our Novice Polish Obedience class is designed for intermediate handlers who are looking to refine their teamwork and attention with their dog, as well as lay a foundation for Open and Utility level exercises.

In this advanced novice-level class, students will continue to polish and proof all novice-level obedience exercises, focusing on precise teamwork and attention. As teams progress, they’ll develop the skills and confidence needed to tackle more challenging exercises in Open and Utility levels.

Throughout the class, we’ll also cover essential ring procedures for both Obedience and Rally, ensuring you’re prepared for any competition or training situation.

To participate in Novice Polish Obedience, intermediate handlers must have approval from our instructor team. This limited-enrollment class is capped at 12 dog/handler teams, providing a personalized and focused learning environment.

Conformation: Mastering the Breed Ring with Your Dog

Are you ready to take your dog’s conformation skills to the next level? Our Conformation class, also known as “handling,” is designed to prepare both you and your dog for success in the breed ring. This drop-in class is perfect for starting a show puppy’s career or helping an older dog get comfortable with the sights, sounds, and procedures of the conformation ring.

In this comprehensive class, you’ll learn:

Correct ring procedure: From entering and exiting the ring to handling your dog during examination
Correct examination procedure: How to present your dog’s features and movement for maximum impact
Movement: Teaching your dog to move smoothly and confidently around the ring
